Daventry bed and breakfast & hotel accommodation

Visit Daventry Northamptonshire and the surrounding villages and stay in B&B, hotel or holiday cottage accommodation provided by BedPosts members.

The history of the town of Daventry goes back to prehistoric ages. Huge earthworks mark the site of an Iron Age fortified camp on Borough Hill on the east side. There are magnificent views from the top.

During the Civil War the Royalist army camped round the hill before their defeat at the Battle of Naseby. According to legend Charles I stayed at the Wheatsheaf Inn.

The town has a pleasant market-place and an 18th-century church and moot hall.
