Shinnston is a small city located 7 miles west of I-79 (halfway between Fairmont & Clarksburg (cities large enough to be on a map). We are about 5 hours west of Washington, DC and about 2.5 hours south of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Gillum Room has a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom featuring the claw-foot bath tub original to this 1912 house AND a 48 inch shower. Rosi's Room has a queen-size bed and bench ?seat and shares a bathroom with the Harris Room which also has a queen-size bed and a reading nook with large rocking chair - this bathroom features a 60 inch shower. Luxury robes in closets of all rooms. All rooms have flat screen TV with cable and free wifi. We have 2 book areas with books to be "stolen" (do NOT return them). Breakfast is served between the hours of 4 AM and 10 AM (your choice). We roast our green coffee beans from the country of your choice from our in-house list or choose from approx. 100 varieties of tea. We have a large porch with glider awaiting your relaxation. We are less than 50 feet from a 17-mile rail-trail and have 2 bicycles in the shed for guests to use on the rail-trail (or hike/jog). Shinnston is centrally located to be a "base camp" to see much of West Virginia. We provide routes for day trips or to your next destination.
