Dating from 1839, and with heaps of charm, The Old School Bed and Breakfast offers exclusive accommodation close to Chichester. Our three en suite double bedrooms are unique and elegantly decorated. The building has been sympathetically refurbished, retaining original features throughout. The former Head Teacher's office is now a cosy and luxurious king-size bedroom.

The Old School is ideally located to visit the wealth of things to see and do in the area. We are one of the closest B&B's to the Goodwood Estate with its flagship events such as the Festival of Speed, and the motor circuit is just a short walk away. Chichester city centre can be easily accessed from The Old School, and many of our guests stay with us to take in a show at the Chichester Festival Theatre or to see an exhibition at Pallant House Gallery. Heading away from the city, the wonderful West Sussex countryside and breath-taking South Downs National Park are on our doorstep.

In every bedroom there is a range of comforts, including a television, hairdryer, bathrobes, USB charging points and a generous hospitality tray. In your en suite shower or bathroom you will find plenty of freshly laundered towels and luxury bathroom products that are environmentally sensitive and paraben free. Our king-size double bedroom has a silent fridge, and our other doubles have access to a nearby guest fridge, keeping you supplied with complimentary bottled water and fresh milk.

At The Old School we stand by the adage that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast is served in the garden room, or if you wish under the grapevine pergola in the garden, weather permitting! We have an extensive menu with a range of cooked breakfasts, healthy dishes and vegetarian options. We also offer a comprehensive vegan menu that has received great feedback, and we are always happy to cater for special dietary needs.

We heartily encourage our guests to use our enchanting gardens that offer relaxing and peaceful places to sit; or have a gentle game of croquet on the lawn using our vintage set of mallets and hoops that can be found in the garden room. In colder weather relax in front of a roaring log burner in the sitting room. Whether you are here on business or for pleasure, we want you to enjoy your stay and keep coming back.
